24/7 Virtual Pediatrician

24/7 Virtual Pediatrician

Gain some peace-of-mind knowing that as a member of our ParentMD community, you have 24/7 access to a board-certified pediatrician through Blueberry Pediatrics, a third-party virtual pediatric provider, to get trusted medical advice and care. Additionally, all members will be mailed a complimentary home exam kit (a value of over $100!) to help perform ear/nose/throat exams and collect vitals, just like in a pediatrician's office.

Schedule a virtual visit at any time of day and get seen within 30 minutes. While Blueberry can treat many things through a virtual visit, it is not meant to be a replacement to your primary care provider. There are some things that must be seen in person by your primary care provider. See the Q and A below or schedule a visit to learn more.

How It Works

1

Create an account and receive your complimentary medical kit.

Get started creating your account with Blueberry Pediatrics by clicking the link below and following the prompts. Your medical kit will be shipped to you within 5-7 days.
*You can do this step at any time, but we recommend creating your account as soon as you begin your ParentMD membership, so that you are ready to go when you need to schedule a visit.
2

Start a visit.

After you have created an account, you can start a visit by clicking the button below or logging into the Blueberry Pediatrics app. You will be seen by a board-certified pediatrician within one hour. You do not need to have your medical kit to start a visit.

For a list of things that can be addressed, please see the Q and A section below.

What's in the medical kit?

Ear Scope / Smart Otoscope
The wireless ear scope can record video of your child's ear drums, which our pediatricians can use to diagnose ear infections.

Pulse Oximeter
‍The pulse oximeter measures your child's heartrate and oxygen levels, giving our pediatricians valuable information necessary to make diagnoses.

Digital Oral Thermometer
The included thermometer is waterproof and has a flexible tip to make it easy to take your child’s temperature.

Q & A

How do ParentMD members have 24/7 access to a pediatrician?
ParentMD has contracted with Blueberry Pediatrics, a third party virtual pediatric provider, to offer our members access to their 24/7 Virtual Pediatricians.
How does Blueberry work with my pediatrician?
With your permission, Blueberry can send any information regarding your Blueberry visits to your primary pediatrician so they can have a full medical record for your child. We are also available for consults with your primary pediatrician if they request it.
Can Blueberry prescribe medications like antibiotics?
Yes, when deemed medically necessary Blueberry Pediatricians are able to write prescriptions and send them to your pharmacy of choice.

If your child has a Medicaid-based health insurance plan, it may not cover the cost of prescriptions from our doctors. This is because Medicaid only covers prescriptions from "in-network" physicians.

Florida and Illinois Medicaid plans will cover the cost of prescriptions from our doctors.

- Wellness visits & school/sport physicals
- Chronic condition management
- Specialist referrals
- Vaccines
- ADHD management

* If Blueberry Pediatricians suspect a UTI, they will order urine culture labs. The results return in 24 hours, which will then be used to treat UTIs. Blueberry can provide up to 90% discounts for these labs.

** Blueberry Pediatricians will treat strep if an at-home rapid strep test is positive. Contact support to get recommendations on at-home rapid strep tests.
