  • What a fantastic resource to have at your fingertips. ParentMD is extremely informative and provides me with tremendous peace of mind, knowing that I can obtain expert advice in seconds and use it to do what is best for my family.
    – Sam from PA, 3 kids
  • I can’t say enough positive words about ParentMD and the comfort it gives me and my wife as parents of our now 15 month old daughter. As first time parents, there are so many questions to ask everyday and navigating the internet to find reliable, evidence-based answers is nearly impossible. ParentMD makes our lives easier, and we both feel more confident managing these early years with the resources made available by these trusted providers.
    – Zack from FL, 1 kid
  • I am so grateful for this site! I’ve struggled effectively communicating with our pediatrician for years. The appointment always seems so rushed and we leave feeling frustrated due to unresolved issues. Thank you for allowing me a space to explore other reputable resources!
    – Andrea from KY, 2 kids
  • As a parent of five kids with ages spanning over 12 years, ParentMD is an invaluable resource in providing quick answers and information to make decisions related to the individual health of each of our children.
    – Brian from KY, 5 kids
  • Trying to find answers to children’s healthcare questions on the internet often leaves a parent with more questions than answers, and seemingly endless searching. As well as uncertainty over who the “experts” are. It can be very frustrating and overwhelming.

But ParentMD is a one-stop site that parents and caregivers can trust for peer-reviewed information, professional advice, or simply tips for everyday parenting. You can count on ParentMD: whether it is in addition to your own pediatrician, or during times your child’s doctor just isn’t available for a consultation.

    – Sara from OH, 2 kids

Q & A

Can you serve internationally?
ParentMD is currently available to customers in the United States. We are working to expand to international customers in the future.
What is the Resource Navigator?
The Resource Navigator provides a form for you to complete with the goal of supplying you with the resources to navigate healthcare or seek out a potential second opinion. You will be able to connect with a professional in healthcare who will do the research for you to lead you in the next best direction for your special case needs.
How do I cancel?
To cancel your ParentMD subscription login to your account, click on "Subscriptions" and select "Cancel".
How often do you update content?
We are evaluating, creating, and sharing new content daily. Existing content is updated as needed based upon the advice and research of leading medical governing bodies.
Can this replace my pediatrician?
No, this cannot replace your pediatrician. ParentMD is designed to be a supplemental resource to your primary pediatrician, especially because currently, healthcare systems cannot guarantee more than 15 to 30 minutes with your pediatrician at a given time, which may not give you time to discuss all of your questions. ParentMD can be an additional resource for your parenting questions but it is not a medical provider and does not provide personalized medical advice. Additionally, ParentMD provides access to third-party virtual pediatrician and nurse providers concerning questions about your child’s medical needs, but these virtual visits cannot replace or substitute for an ongoing patient-physician relationship and treatment plan with your pediatrician.
Do I need to have insurance to cover this service?
Insurance is not required. All subscriptions and purchases are out-of-pocket.
Do I have to pay for the 24/7 Virtual Pediatrician or After Hours Virtual Nurse?
Depending on your membership level, all visits with a 24/7 Virtual Pediatrician and After Hours Virtual Nurse are covered with the purchase of your membership.

Virtual pediatrician services are provided by third-party pediatric provider Blueberry Pediatrics. Virtual nursing services are provided by third-party nursing provider Anytime Pediatrics.

Complimentary consultations with the Emotional and Social Support services are limited to 20 minutes per session, with the option to purchase additional sessions for a discounted rate to members. Your child life specialist will advise a plan, based upon the topic needs, if an additional consultation is needed at an extra cost.
ParentMD was founded to improve the quality of information available to parents online, while promoting healthy relationships with pediatricians.
